Silent like the soundless salty tears gently filling her eyes,
Silent like the darkness of a vacant cemetery,
Silent like a snowflake fluttering through the sky and landing softly on someone’s nose,
Silent like the cold feeling of regret and anguish,
Silent like the longing of someone you can’t have.
Silent like thoughts clouding someone’s mind with doom,
Silent like painful memories flooding with emotional grief,
Silent like nightmares penetrating the minds of those who endure them,
Silent like the curse of over-thinking anything and everything,
Silent like a treacherous murder being planned,
Silent like the non-existent beating of her crushed heart,
Silent like my reflection in the mirror.
